Is there truth?

It is often said that one cannot change unless they are confronted by the truth. This, true as it may be , one may want to find out why is it that people who have known the truth still live as if they have never heard the same. Could it be that there is a lot of democratization of the truth? Does truth need to be rationalized in any way. If so then will it remain truth or should truth be looked at as absolute? But if so then how would we know the truth?

If what we know or seem to know cannot be validated from what we know then how then  can we be sure of what is said as to whether it is true of falsified. If so then how can we tell if one is false or true?
Truth cannot be subjective, I suppose though we know that at times it is the subject that holds the truth. If this is so then how can one be objective in what they do? Is there anything called objectivity? Can one really be objective in what they do? If so then truth can be objective but this cannot be entirely true for all purposes, given or implied?

So then what is truth? what does the Hague have to offer?
